Nigh Advisory
Functional Accessibility Consulting
Bridging the gap between what hotels are required to provide and what guests with disabilities actually need.
The Problem We Solve

Compliant is not the same as functional.

Most hotels believe they have solved accessibility. They have ADA-compliant rooms. They check the boxes. But ask a wheelchair user about their last hotel stay, and you will hear a different story.

A hotel room can pass every inspection and still be deeply frustrating — or completely unusable — for guests with mobility challenges. The issues we find in virtually every property have nothing to do with code violations.

Shower controls out of reach from the shower seat. A bench that wobbles under body weight. Towel hooks at six feet. A thermostat four inches too high. Furniture arranged so a wheelchair cannot complete a full turn. A bed so high that transferring is dangerous.

None of these require major renovation. Most cost under $100 to fix. But nobody has ever pointed them out — because nobody doing the pointing has ever had to navigate them. That is the gap we close.

Nigh Advisory is not a compliance inspection. We do not issue legal certifications or ADA audit reports. We tell you what is not working for real guests — and exactly how to fix it.

Why It Matters
Revenue
61 million Americans live with a disability. They are among the most loyal travelers in hospitality when they find a property that genuinely serves them — and largely underserved by an industry that has confused compliance with hospitality.
Reputation
Disabled travelers are highly networked and vocal. When a property gets it right, they share it widely. That kind of word-of-mouth cannot be purchased.
Digital Visibility
Guests who cannot confirm a property works for them simply book elsewhere. Accurate accessibility information online is a revenue decision.
2028 LA Paralympics
The hotels that earn a reputation for genuine accessibility before 2028 will own that market. The ones that scramble after will be playing catch-up.

Co-Founder & Lead Consultant
Denny has used a wheelchair since age 8. He played wheelchair basketball at the University of Illinois and represented Team USA internationally before earning degrees in Tourism and Human Resources, building a 15-year executive career, and traveling the world extensively. Every hotel he has ever entered has been experienced through the same lens he brings to your property. That is not a credential. It is a lifetime of paying attention.

What Makes Us Different

Why no one else can do what we do.

We live this every day
35+ years of navigating hotels, venues, and airports from a wheelchair. That experience cannot be credentialed into existence. It is the foundation of every assessment we conduct.
Functional, not just legal
Any compliance firm can tell you whether you meet ADA requirements. We tell you whether your room actually works for the guests who need it. Those are profoundly different things.
We close the design gap
Sydney's design background means we recommend solutions that are practical, affordable, and aesthetically considered. Accessible design does not have to look institutional.
We speak your language
Degrees in Tourism and Human Resources combined with deep customer service experience. We know how hotels work, how guests feel, and how to move organizations to action.
The work speaks for itself
We do not issue certifications lightly. When we say a property meets our standard, it means something — because our standard is set by someone who has to live with the consequences of getting it wrong.
